THE PROCESS
Consultation.
Start by submitting a custom request here. You will be automatically entered into my project tracking system where we will be able to correspond about your design idea, lock in costing and set up a payment plan.
Design It.
Once the deposit is received I will build a concept drawing for your bike design for approval. We will have the opportunity to tweak it into perfection and from there you will send your frame to me.
Make It.
Once I receive your frame I will start by removing the existing paint job. Unless specifically required for the design I will not sand carbon frames completely bare. Steel, Alloy and Titanium frames will be mechanically stripped using a process that is safe for the base material. Once ready to be painted I will prime and paint using only premium materials offering the highest grade finishing results. I take frequent process photos and share the development of your custom paint job directly and on my social channels. When completed I will send a final invoice including any shipping costs and upon receipt your frame will be shipped back.
Warranty Information
A question that come up often is will my manufacturers warranty remain intact? For some brands such as Open and Allied that supply Ready to Paint (RTP) frames they are already covering your frame warranty, but it is recommended to contact your dealer for specifics. I am an Approved Specialized Painter which means that I meet their requirements for a custom painter and the structural warranty for their frames will remain intact. Specialized will not warranty any finish that I apply to your frame. For many other brands their warranties are void once a frame is refinished. I am pushing to set up painter approval with brands big and small and will continue to add warranty notices as they are unlocked.
