DR. EMILE’S TARMAC

A few years ago a made a new friend when visiting the SEMA show for some paint inspiration. His name was Dave and he worked for global paint supplier PPG. He offered to sort me out with some rate shades and he came through big time with the blue tinter used on the Acura NSX. The only way to get this tinter is if you have an NSX vin number but I was able to get some snuck over to me for some custom paint work (I painted Dave’s son’s bike this color too). Instead of using the blue pearl base coat like Acura I use a Spectraflair over black to give a truly dazzling effect. The high chroma blue with the reverse highlights offered by the Spectraflair is an awesome effect and something that really helps this bike stand out. For the logos I use an Aluleaf silver with a rough sanded base clear to make it look like brushed metal.
