Lichtgeschwindigkeit - Translated from German is means speed of light. When I had the opportunity to design a frame for German sprinter Marcel Kittel, I could only think of one question - How fast is this guy? It was pretty clear that he was the fastest in the peloton at that time and deserved a graphic that spoke to that power and speed. The inspiration for the graphic was a combination of space craft in liquid silver and the CERN particle accelerator where they do high speed electromagnetic experiments. The colorful explosions were taken straight from the results of smashing electrons together so it was not only cool looking but authentic as well!
